UCL invests in science policy
University College London is to set up a £5-million department of science, technology and engineering policy in September. Anthony Finkelstein, UCL’s dean of engineering, says the university plans to hire around 20 academics and will recruit a “significant proportion” this year. The department will absorb the Centre for Engineering Policy but not the Department of Science and Technology Studies.
