Government should respect Food Standards Agency, says union

The Prospect union says the government needs to reconsider its approach to the Food Standards Agency in the wake of the horsemeat scandal.

Prospect criticised what it described as “the government’s rush to dismantle organisations”, saying that the so-called Bonfire of the Quangos has not produced the benefits intended.
