Oxford to re-examine ‘selection by wealth’

The University of Oxford will review its postgraduate admissions policy after settling a case in which a student sued St Hugh’s College for “selecting by wealth”, The Guardian reports.

An article published on 23 March included a joint statement from student Damien Shannon and the college, saying that they have “resolved the dispute between them, and that the court proceedings in Manchester county court are at an end with immediate effect”.
