Radio telescope construction pushed back to 2017-18

Construction of the Square Kilometre Array telescope in South Africa and Australia is being put back from 2016 to 2017-18. The SKA’s chief executive, Philip Diamond, says his team will present an amended timeline in April. Diamond added that the latest budget for the project is €1.7 billion (£1.4bn), up from the original €1.5bn.
