UK doesn’t take ‘full advantage’ of science base, say MPs

The UK government lacks a coherent innovation strategy and is failing to take full advantage of the economic benefits of the science base, MPs have said.

In a report called ‘Bridging the Valley of Death: Improving the commercialisation of research’, published on 13 March, the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee says that businesses face a “multitude of issues” when trying to commercialise research.
