Travellers in Europe this summer will have noticed that the pound doesn’t buy what it used to. This week Theresa May discovered that £1billion doesn’t buy what it used to, either. On Wednesday the Democratic Unionist Party announced that it would be siding with Labour in opposition votes on public sector pay and tuition fees in England.
