Vitae is seeking input from universities on how best to review holders of the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Award.
Since the scheme began, 78 UK universities have received the award, which acknowledges that an institution’s practices are in line with the European Charter for Researchers and code of conduct for their recruitment.
Four years after receiving an award, institutions are required to undergo an external review to investigate whether they should be allowed to retain it. The first set of award-holders in the UK are due to undergo external review in September 2014.
