Technicians in higher education sector still tend to be white, male and in their forties or older
The proportion of black, Asian and minority ethnic technicians in some research areas is “alarmingly low”, according to the first examination of equality, diversity and inclusion challenges facing technicians in higher education.
The report, by the University of Nottingham and funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, is based on an analysis of data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
