UK workers apathetic towards rise of automation

Surveys suggest workforce is increasingly passive towards the need to upskill for the digital age

UK workers and business managers are in denial about the future impact of automation on jobs, according to new figures highlighting a nationwide apathy towards learning digital skills.

Research published by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants suggests that more than a third of workers don’t feel the need to train in new skills, with the figure of 37 per cent barely changing in the past year.
