Academics make their own rules on integrity, study finds

Some teachers seem happy to bend the rules on academic integrity policies

Almost half of academics would ignore academic integrity rules in some circumstances, according to a study.

A paper exploring academic integrity has shown that academic staff are almost split down the middle on how they interpret institutional academic integrity rules, meaning there is a danger of “inconsistency and unfairness” for students.
