Almost half of surveyed scientists expect funding cuts as Covid-19 restrictions bite
A government-funded survey of 8,400 researchers working in universities and research institutes has revealed widespread anxieties over job security and funding in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The survey, conducted by the higher education careers organisation Vitae in May and June for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and published 12 October, found early career and part-time researchers were the most concerned.
