Number of roles advertised at universities plummets in 2020
As the new academic year begins in the UK, the number of jobs advertised in academic and research fields has plummeted compared to last year, according to data from a UK recruitment site.
Covid-19 has delivered multiple hits to UK universities’ income, and several institutions have looked to cut jobs and not renew expiring contracts as a result.
