Peers call for evidence on Stem skills shortage

Inquiry follows concerns raised over the UK’s ability to attract and retain talent post-Brexit

The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee has launched an inquiry into the availability of skilled workers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects in the UK.

The decision follows another recent inquiry into the delivery of the government’s science and technology strategy, during which the committee heard concerns from the research community about a talent gap affecting the country’s ability to meet R&D targets.
