Active researchers appointed editors of new open-access journal

Randy Schekman, a cell and developmental biologist at the University of California, Berkeley, will be the editor-in-chief of an open-access research journal to be launched next year.

The life and biomedical sciences journal, recently named “eLife”, will be supported by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Max Planck Society and the Wellcome Trust.
