The Royal Society of Chemistry and a Kyoto University institute for integrated cell-material sciences have launched a joint journal called ‘Biomaterials Science’.
The journal will be multidisciplinary and cover biomaterials research along with its biomedical applications. It will open for submissions from March, with the first issue being planned for 2013. From the launch issue until December 2014, all articles will be freely available online.
