Scotland needs an in-depth investigation into improving the environment for financing innovation, according to a report published by the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
The report, by the RSE Business Innovation Forum, states that “there is almost no evidence of interaction, or even visibility” between investors in Scotland and research institutions, even though the former manages £750 billion in funds.
