Southampton researcher wins IoP physics award

Kate Sloyan, an optoelectronics researcher at the University of Southampton, has won the Institute of Physics’ Very Early Career Woman Physicist of the Year Award.

Sloyan, who will get a £1,000 cash prize, is an Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council ‘doctoral prize fellow’.
