The Wellcome Trust has launched a funding scheme for collaborative academic-industry research and development projects in orphan and neglected disease areas.
The Pathfinder Awards will go to early-stage, applied R&D projects for diseases that affect a small percentage of the population or disproportionately affect people in low-income countries.
