The Wellcome Trust has announced that its health innovation challenge fund will now focus on specific research topics rather than inviting applications through themed calls.
The initiative, which is a joint scheme with the Department of Health, issues two £10 million funding calls each year to support the development of products for clinical use within three to five years.
