British Academy hits out at education policies

The Government’s higher education actions are failing to protect the interests of postgraduate students, according to the UK’s national academy for the humanities and social sciences.

The British Academy has published a position statement condemning two aspects of recent government policy: the failure to introduce a postgraduate loan system and the inclusion of overseas postgraduate students in the net migration statistics.
