Hunt isn’t interested in science, claims RSC

The Royal Society of Chemistry has condemned Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt’s decision to ignore advice on appointing a chief scientific advisor for his department.

A Commons Science and Technology Select Committee report in May this year recommended that a CSA should be appointed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport “without further delay” to “inform and challenge policymaking and to champion heritage science”.
