RSC teams up with Indian science council to fight disease

The Royal Society of Chemistry and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in India have agreed to raise awareness of the importance of chemoinformatics for the development of therapies for neglected diseases.

The RSC announced on 29 January that it would work with the CSIR on an Open Source Drug Discovery initiative over the next three years. The aim is to develop faster-acting and more effective treatments for diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria.
