Royal colleges join campaign for evidence-based medicine

Twenty royal medical colleges have committed to supporting evidence-based treatments, as part of the Evidence Based Medicine Matters campaign.

Among the twenty colleges are the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Surgeons. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society has also joined the campaign.

Launched at the House of Lords on 25 April, the initiative has been organised by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and the campaign group Sense About Science.
