Bioethics council to explore genome editing

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics is launching an investigation into the ethics surrounding the use of genome editing, and is looking for help to define the project’s scope.

The council has said it will hold a workshop to define the project on 22 April “with invited participants from a range of backgrounds” and is asking anyone with an interest in the subject of genome editing to help shape the workshop discussion.

Anyone who wants to contribute to the workshop is asked to submit up to 300 words in response to the question “What are the most important challenges raised by genome editing that the Nuffield Council on Bioethics should address?”
