The Campaign for Science and Engineering has announced that City University London is the latest institution to become a member.
An announcement made on 17 April quotes Paul Curran, City’s vice-chancellor, as saying that the university particularly supports CaSE’s efforts to maintain investment in education and research.
CaSE describes its mission as raising the political profile of science and engineering. It was launched in 2005 as an follow-up to the Save British Science campaign, founded in 1986. The campaign’s corporate membership consists of around 50 universities, 30 learned and professional societies, 15 companies and three charities.
