The British Academy has appointed 66 fellows, representing the “best of humanities and social sciences research”.

The fellows, announced on 21 July, focus on subjects ranging from feminist theory to economic development in Africa—a sign the academy said pointed to the “growing diversity of research in the UK”.

Forty-two of the scholars come from the UK, while the rest are based in universities in the United States, Uganda and in several European countries.
