Academy sets up early-career fellowships and network

The British Academy has been awarded £10 million from the Wolfson Foundation to enable young scholars to develop their careers as researchers in the humanities and social sciences.

The grant is the largest single investment to date from the charity in these disciplines and will support the introduction of British Academy Wolfson Fellowships to help early-stage researchers launch their careers.

The money will also be used to create the Gladstone Institute, a network enabling early-career researchers to collaborate across subjects and institutions.
