A £600,000 donation from a philanthropic foundation will allow the Academy of Medical Sciences to expand its future leaders scheme.
The Dennis and Mireille Gillings Foundation has provided the funding for the academy’s Future Leaders in Innovation, Enterprise and Research programme, to develop two cohorts of leaders in medical science.
The programme aims to develop a network of biomedical and health researchers equipped to lead innovation and collaboration across academia, industry, the NHS and government. It was developed following a consultation with the life sciences industry.
