British Science Association to overhaul branch network

The British Science Association is giving more independence to its network of regional volunteer groups.

The BSA announced on 10 April that it has decided to move towards an “arm’s-length” relationship with its branches to provide them with more autonomy to make their own decisions about their day-to-day activities.

There are 36 branches in the network, which organise local science-related events for public audiences across the country.
