CaSE and Wellcome team up in push to shape R&D investment

Campaign group and charity commission hope to ‘secure full potential of R&D Decade’

The Campaign for Science and Engineering has teamed up with the Wellcome Trust to “secure the full potential” of R&D spending increases promised by the government in the decade ahead.

Boris Johnson’s administration has committed to double public research spending to £18bn a year by 2024 as part of its plan to drive overall R&D spending up from 1.7 per cent of GDP to 2.4 per cent by 2027.
