Medical research charities project an unprecedented £310 million shortfall over the next year
Without government support, the future of charity-funded medical research is at “significant risk” as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, charities have warned.
The warning comes as Alzheimer’s Research UK has backed international calls to increase investment in dementia research at this “critical” time, and as Cancer Research UK has called for a restart of clinical trials currently on hold.
