Royal Society joins forces with industry on Mathematical Futures scheme
The Royal Society has joined forces with industry to launch a two-year programme to explore which mathematical skills will be needed in the next 20 years—“for the careers of 2040”.
Together with the technology company Arm, Google and pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, the learned society aims to identify the arithmetical, data and digital skills that will be in high demand by future employers, as well as the skills and training needed by teachers to deliver those skills.
