Motor neurone disease charities have welcomed a multi-million-pound funding package for research into neurodegenerative diseases, following a successful campaign.
On 14 November, the government announced £375 million for research into neurodegenerative diseases, with £50m earmarked specifically for motor neurone disease-related research, a condition that affects the brain and nerves.
