Charities disappointed as chancellor makes no mention of manifesto plans to double dementia research funding
Two leading Alzheimer’s charities have expressed their disappointment after the government failed yet again to deliver on its promise to double dementia research funding in the budget.
In its 2019 manifesto, the Conservative Party said it would make finding a cure for the disease “one of our government’s biggest collective priorities—one of the grand challenges that will define our future along with the impact of climate change or artificial intelligence”.
