Institutions urged to set up financial help for EU students ahead of tuition fees hike

Universities should consider setting up their own scholarships for students from the EU to help mitigate the “collapse” in demand, a conference has heard.

Vivienne Stern, director of vice-chancellors’ body Universities UK International, told delegates at UUK’s International Higher Education Forum 2021 on 14 April that universities should “return to making the case” among policymakers for a “targeted scholarship offer for European students”.
