Inquiry hears of need for better diversity data in research

Sector and government should improve their information-gathering on representation in Stem, experts say

The research sector should be doing more to enable better analysis and reporting of diversity, according to an inquiry into equity in the UK’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics workforce.

The inquiry, which was launched in November 2020 by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Diversity and Inclusion in Stem, has now released some of the evidence it has collected.
