Funder commits to five anti-racist principles as data reveals persistent racial inequity at the charity
The Wellcome Trust has unveiled a new framework for how it plans to tackle racism as it admits it “has perpetuated racism” and it needs “collective action to counteract it”.
Published on 16 June, the framework consists of guidelines, a toolkit and five key principles, including the aim to prioritise anti-racism, investigate racial inequity, involve people of colour, counteract racism, and make measurable progress.
