University staff in Scotland more anxious as workloads increase

   

Union calls for action on “increased demands” and for support on Covid-safety measures on campuses

More than three quarters of university staff in Scotland have seen their workloads increase over the past academic year, according to a survey by the University and College Union.

A total of 76 per cent of those surveyed said their workload had increased since September 2020, with one in four saying it had increased by a fifth.
