Charity says molecular biologist Ketan Patel brings “substantial expertise” to role
Cancer Research UK has recruited molecular biologist Ketan Patel as its new chief scientist.
Patel (pictured) took up the role last week and is tasked with providing “scientific leadership” for the charity’s activities, and delivering on its research strategy. He will also continue in his existing roles as director of the MRC Weatherall Institute for Molecular Medicine and the Medical Research Council Molecular Haematology Unit at the University of Oxford.
