Academics urge government to build on success of UK Vaccine Taskforce to tackle dementia

A group of leading dementia researchers are calling on the UK government to create a dementia taskforce modelled on the successful UK Vaccine Taskforce set up during the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an open letter to prime minister Boris Johnson, the chief executive of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK), Hilary Evans and 13 leading dementia researchers urge “further government action” to “push us over the ‘finish line’ on the first wave of new treatments in a generation”.
