Search for head of Royal Statistical Society reopens after David Firth withdraws from role
David Firth, the incoming president of the Royal Statistical Society, has stepped back from the role due to health reasons.
Firth (pictured), who is emeritus professor of statistics at the University of Warwick, was due to take up the role as president of the RSS at the start of 2023, having been elected in 2021. The society announced on 21 April that he had withdrawn as president-elect.
