British Academy poll finds academics are considered trustworthy
A British Academy poll has found that academics are among the most trusted professionals in the country.
The national body for the humanities and social sciences today revealed that nearly 50 per cent of the polled UK adults said they would trust academics the most to deliver information in news stories on TV, in contrast to 1 per cent for politicians, 4 per cent for businesspeople and 7 per cent for journalists.
