Consultation marks start of process to create an independent National Academy of Mathematical Sciences

The UK government has launched a call for feedback on its plans to set up a National Academy of Mathematical Sciences.

The academy will be similar to institutions focusing on other fields, such as the Royal Society, which is dedicated to promoting excellence in all sciences, and the Royal Academy of Engineering, the government said.
