British Heart Foundation to ask for more diversity data

Gender reassignment, religious beliefs and care responsibilities to be included in data collection

The British Heart Foundation has announced it will soon ask for more diversity information from its researchers, in a bid to become a more inclusive funder.

The BHF already collects diversity data about the researchers applying to and receiving its funding. These data include legally protected characteristics including age, disability, ethnicity and gender.
