Former Scottish chief scientist and leader of national health data science institute appointed
The Academy of Medical Sciences has elected Scotland’s former chief scientist in health as its new president.
Andrew Morris was announced on 27 March as the next president of the AMRC, one of the UK’s four national academies tasked with advancing biomedical and health research. He was previously chief scientist at the Scottish Government Health Directorate and led Scotland’s Covid-19 advisory group during the pandemic.
