Biomedical scientists urge UK parties to prioritise innovation

Professional body wants next government to cement UK’s position as a global healthcare leader

The Institute of Biomedical Science has called on political parties to help create the right conditions for a “skilled and sustainable pipeline of qualified talent” in biomedical sciences and diagnostics, ahead of the next general election.

The IBMS, which has over 20,000 members in 74 countries, wants the next government to help maintain the UK’s position as a global leader in healthcare and innovation.
