UK academy seeks parity between social sciences and Stem

Academy of Social Sciences releases five-year strategy

The UK Academy of Social Sciences has committed to building greater parity between its discipline and science, engineering, technology and maths in its new five-year strategy.

Across the country, there is great focus on Stem and the need for more people with skills in these subjects. But the Academy of Social Sciences wants its discipline to be recognised as equally important, saying it will aim to build parity of both esteem and public recognition.
