Charity urges next government to make changes on immigration, long-term funding and building science facilities
The health research charity Wellcome has said that unless the next government is “ambitious” for research the UK risks losing its strategic global advantage.
In a “manifesto for science” published on 31 May ahead of the upcoming general election on 4 July, the charity said that without changes to how the UK attracts talent, funds R&D and supports research infrastructure it could fall behind other countries.
