Faraday Institution gets new chair

UK electrochemical energy storage research institute names Steven Cowley as its chair elect

The Faraday Institution, the UK’s institute for electrochemical energy storage research, has announced theoretical physicist and fusion energy authority Steven Cowley as its next chair.

Cowley (pictured) will join the board immediately while retaining his positions as director of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and professor at Princeton University in the US. He will take over from current board chair Peter Littlewood on 16 July.
