Royal Astronomical Society to boost early careers and OA

              

New five-year strategy will see learned society work to boost careers and accessibility

The Royal Astronomical Society is planning to improve support for early-career researchers and to promote open-access publishing in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics and geophysics, according to its new strategy.

Its newly published 2024-29 strategy is designed to put members “at the front and centre” of the society’s activities, and it addresses five priority areas for development, including membership, publications, education and outreach, heritage and collaboration.
